Data Protection Declaration

This Data Protection Declaration (hereinafter referred to as «Declaration») shows how Lenzlinger Söhne AG, Lenzlinger Austria GmbH and Lenzlinger Bodenbeläge AG (hereinafter referred to as «Lenzlinger») collect, use, transmit and disclose (hereinafter summarised under the term «process») the personal user data (hereinafter referred to as «personal data» of visitors to this website (hereinafter referred to as «Users») and how this takes place. In addition, the Declaration describes how Lenzlinger Söhne AG ensures the security of the personal data that is processed.

The User is in agreement that Lenzlinger Söhne AG processes personal data in line with the Declaration. Statutory or contractual obligations to maintain confidentiality, to which Lenzlinger Söhne AG is subject with regard to the User’s personal data, will not be affected by this Declaration.

1. Data collected

Lenzlinger Söhne AG will process personal data about the User, if the latter

  • visits websites from Lenzlinger,
  • applies for or uses the products or services offered by Lenzlinger; this includes in particular the registration of the customer in the quotation/accounting system.
  • participates in a competition / advertising campaign.

On the one hand, Lenzlinger will process the relevant personal data (e.g. name, gender, address, email address, telephone or fax number), which the customer explicitly and actively makes available to Lenzlinger. This also applies if the User participates in events (online or in person) organised by Lenzlinger. On the other hand, the web server of Lenzlinger automatically indicates details about the User’s visit (e.g. anonymous IP address, browser type and version, operating system used, the originating website, date, time spent using the website).

1.1 Cookies

The websites of Lenzlinger use cookies, which are saved on the User’s computer. This enables Lenzlinger to track the User’s visit and save the latter’s preferences if he moves between pages or visits the website again.

Cookies are used in particular for the following purposes:

  • Statistical assessment of the number of users and usage habits
  • Improvement of the loading speed of the individual pages.

The User can control the behaviour of cookies through his browser settings under the Data protection tab. You can generally find the corresponding options for the browser and instructions for use in the browser manual. If the User declines cookies or if he blocks or deactivates them, this may restrict the availability of the services offered via the website. In addition, parts of the websites may no longer function correctly.

1.2 Web analysis

Lenzlinger analyses the use of the websites with analytical tools from a third party such as Google Analytics (hereinafter referred to generally as «analysis service-provider»). Lenzlinger assumes no responsibility or liability for any data processing by providers of the tools. Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as «Google»), uses cookies, which are saved on the User’s computer. The information generated by the cookie about the User’s visit is in general transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and saved there. If SIX activates an IP anonymisation for this website, Google will abbreviate the User’s IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address then be transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and made anonymous there. Google assesses the information saved on behalf of SIX in order to compile reports about the use of the website and to provide other services associated with the latter for SIX. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics from the User’s browser may be merged by Google with other data collected in some situations.

You can find more information at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de or http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html (general information about Google Analytics and data protection).

2. Use and protection of personal data

By processing personal data in accordance with this Declaration, Lenzlinger improves the quality of products and services.

Personal data is processed in particular for the following purposes:

  • technical administration together with research and the further development of the websites;
  • User administration and marketing;
  • Determination of competition winners and delivery of the prizes.

The User authorises Lenzlinger to transmit personal data to employees, authorised agents or other third parties within or outside the country in which the User lives, to provide services and for the above-mentioned purposes. Employees, authorised agents or other third parties, who have access to personal data, are obliged by Lenzlinger to ensure compliance with all the applicable data protection regulations. People, to whom Lenzlinger grants access to personal data within the meaning of this Declaration, will be trained appropriately with regard to data security and data protection.

Lenzlinger protects personal data with appropriate physical, electronic and procedure-related security measures, including firewalls, personal passwords, encryption and authentication technologies. In individual cases insofar as personal data is collected via a website of Lenzlinger, transmission will take place encrypted by using the current most common and secure data transfer systems SSL "Secure-Socket-Layer".

Lenzlinger retains the right to transmit personal data to governmental and supervisory authorities and as part of this Declaration also to analysis service-providers. In doing so Lenzlinger will comply in full with the applicable regulations, laws and any court or official requirements.

3. Information regarding processed personal data

People, whose personal data is processed as part of this Declaration, have the right:

  • To receive a copy of the personal data;
  • To request the correction of personal data if it is incorrect;
  • To request the deletion of personal data;
  • To request restrictions when personal data is processed;
  • To submit an objection to processing, in particular for the purpose of direct advertising.

The above-mentioned rights can be refused or restricted if the interests, rights and freedoms of third parties prevail or the processing serves the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims of Lenzlinger. 4. Links

The Lenzlinger websites may contain hyper links to other websites, which Lenzlinger does not operate or monitor. Websites of third parties are not subject to this Declaration. Lenzlinger is not responsible for their content or handling of personal data.

5. Social Media Buttons

Functions (plug-ins) from third-party providers or from social media platforms (Facebook, Linkedin, Youtube) are incorporated in the Lenzlinger websites. These plug-ins make it possible for the User to share content in the above-mentioned social networks. The buttons are deactivated as standard when the website is called up. This means that without any action by the User no personal data will be transmitted to the relevant third-party provider. After the User has activated the buttons, data including personal data is automatically transmitted via the plug-ins to the corresponding third-party provider. If the User is simultaneously registered in the network of the relevant third-party provider when visiting the website, the latter can assign the visit to the User’s network account. Lenzlinger has no influence on this. The purpose and scope of this data collection and the further processing and use of the personal data is explained in the data protection information provided by the relevant social networks. Users will also find information there about the rights and settings options regarding protection of privacy.
