Substructure – the right one for every room
You will find the right substructure for any room with us. We have substructures for low hollow floors with a minimum of building technical installations as well those for highly conductive systems which are ideal for rooms or data centres with very many installations.
Benefits
Substructures for any installation height
Substructure Type 4 – The low version
System
The substructure Type 4 with individual pedestals is suitable for rooms with few building service installations and installation heights of 100 to 200 mm. With the lowest pedestals from our range combined with our thin panels, it is also possible to install the floors subsequently in existing buildings with low room heights and an installation height of only 60 to 100 mm (clearance height of the hollow space approx. 40 to 80 mm).
We install the pedestals in the standard grid of the 600 x 600 mm panels. Depending on the construction of the access floor panels, the distributed load varies between 10 and 30 kN/m2.
Substructure Type 5 – The standard
System
The substructure Type 5 with individual pedestals is the standard solution for normal installation heights of 200 to 600 mm. This system enables the easy access to the hollow space anytime and anywhere. The clearance height of the hollow space of approx. 160 to 560 mm offers sufficient space for data cables, electric cables, cabling, heating pipes, cooling pipes, air conditioning channels and the junctions of various cables.
We install the supports in the standard grid of the 600 x 600 mm panels. Depending on the construction of the access floor panels, the distributed load varies between 10 and 30 kN/m2.
Substructure Type 6 – The standard with stringers
System
The substructure Type 6 is suitable for installation heights of 500 to 800 mm. It consists of individual pedestals like Type 5 as well as additional loosely suspended strings. These increase the horizontal stability of access floors on which heavy equipment is placed and which are frequently opened for the subsequent installation of cables. A clearance height of approx. 430 to 730 mm offers sufficient space for data cables, electric cables, cabling, heating pipes, cooling pipes, air conditioning channels and the junctions of various cables.
We install the pedestals in the standard grid of the 600 x 600 mm panels. Depending on the construction of the access floor panels, the distributed load varies between 10 and 30 kN/m2.
Substructure Type 7 – The standard with joists
System
The substructure Type 7 is suitable for more demanding static requirements and for installation heights of 300 to 800 mm. It has individual pedestals like Type 5 as well as additional loosely suspended joists. These increase the load bearing capacity of the panels and the horizontal stability of access floors, on which heavy equipment is placed and which are frequently opened for the subsequent installation of cables. A clearance height of the hollow space of approx. 230 to 730 mm offers sufficient space for data cables, electric cables, cabling, heating pipes, cooling pipes, air conditioning channels and the junctions of various cables.
We install the supports in the standard grid of the 600 x 600 mm panels. Depending on the construction of the access floor panels, the distributed load varies between 15 and 30 kN/m2.
Substructure Type 8 – The strong one
System
The substructure Type 8 is based on a joist system of longitudinal and transverse profiles in a 600 x 600 mm grid, which have a friction-locked connection to the pedestals via anchor screws. Even without panels the system absorbs tractive and shearing forces. It is suitable for installation heights of 300 to 2000 mm. With various profile sizes the bearing capacity or distance between pedestals can be adjusted to the relevant requirements. Pedestals can also be placed outside the grid pattern to bridge channels and pipes. Depending on the construction of the access floor panels the distributed load varies between 15 and 40 kN/m2.
Version with longitudinal and cross beams in grids of 600 x 1200 mm, further versions available on request.
